Hassanal Bolkiah - Brunei

born 15 July 1946 is the Sultan of Brunei to the 29-and is the eldest son of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and sister's son Jefri Bolkiah. He was the sultan of Brunei is the first sovereign of Brunei after a British protectorate.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah was born in Bandar Seri Begawan. In addition to a sultan, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah also held positions prime minister, defense minister and finance minister of Brunei. He was appointed as the son crown in 1961 and as ditabalkan sultan on 5 October 1967, after ayahandanya down the throne voluntarily. Heirs is the son of Queen Saleha, the son of al-crown Muhtadee Billah Bolkiah.
